Trula Hicks

Teacher
I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 13 years old. As a teenager, I attended a Christian high school in Columbia, SC. I began teaching in Maryland after receiving a B.S. degree in science from Winthrop College (now University). A year after I began teaching, I married and continued to teach until our twins were born. After taking a 1 ½ years off I went back into the classroom. Our youngest son was born, and we moved to Charlotte, NC to be closer to family. I taught for 25 years at a Christian school in Charlotte. The Lord moved us to the Aiken area and Hillview Baptist Church a year before the church opened Hillview Christian Academy. I now have been blessed with the opportunity to continue my teaching career as the science, history, and math teacher for the upper grades at Hillview.
